Marshall McLuhan coined the phrase ”The medium is the message“
This got me thinking…
What is the message when the medium is….
stone tablets
a scroll
a book
the Internet
a smart phone app
The 10 Commandements and the Bible have all been written in these mediums.
If the medium is the message…what is the message of these mediums?
Going all Shane Hipps on us!
I think this is a phenomenal question that very few of us really want to answer. Does all the technology reinforce the message that we are trying to communicate... or is it yet another voice communicating a conflicting message.

Great thoughts Matt. Thanks for sharing them.
You land on a key question about the technology. Is there a purpose for it?

I wonder how many times the real answer to that question, at least in church circles, is "Yes, to make me look more impressive to people."
