Cirque du Soleil can teach all teams a few lessons..
1. Your team must be strong
2. You must have great balance
3. Momentum is key to performance
4. You must be flexible...very flexible.
5. You must practice
6. Support from each other is key
7. Everyone must play their role.
8. What you accomplish may look astonishing to outsiders, but you know it comes from lot’s of hard work.
9. Everyone needs to be in synch.
10. Great teams have a story to share.
Bonus:
When you fail..the crowd will be even more appreciative when you try again and succeed.
I am delighted to see this blog, I imaginary wrote a similar blog when I was at Cirque Du Soleil myself many years ago, so I am happy to see this one actually made it to the web.
I would add that the people who get the credit from doing all the flips and snazzy moves only can do so because of all the support of their less fancy looking team mates. I found that the applause was given to the somersaults rather than to the men who would be holding a wooden beam and having someone pound on their shoulders endlessly.
Thanks for posting this, I will definitely take a moment to think more about what I discovered there and write a follow-up to your post.
