Doctorate Sweepstakes: Update
Here is the latest from the Doctorate Sweepstakes.
All three finalists were emailed the link and hand their sites pinged. The University of La Verne responded quickly.
"One of our program's strong suits is that we
have a diverse cross section of careers
among our student body. About half are K-12 practitioners, another quarter are from higher
ed--college and university teachers, staff, administrators and the rest are from
private sector business, public and non-profit agencies, military, hospitals,
police department, etc. This diversity is one of the strengths of our program,
as people have the opportunity to look at theory, ideas, skills, strategies
through more than one lens." University of La Verne
I am very interested in the mix of fields I would be exposed to. Education Innovation relies on having a different approach to education. This occurs at the "intersection" of different ideas, and fields. Think Medici Effect!
This blend is very attractive and I would consider this a strength of the University La Verne's program. No response from Pepperdine or USC. Updates to follow.
I have received a number of emails from people sharing their viewpoints on each of the three finalists. Thanks to all of you who have participated so far. I encourage you to share you thoughts in the comments section so others can benefit from your input. (I consider email confidential, and will only share information from the three finalists if they email me.)
As a reminder...
